Understanding sensory processing differences is key.

Your child's sensory system plays a vital role in processing information from the environment and sending it to the nervous system for response. When this information isn't processed properly, the response may not match the outward circumstance.
Understanding that everyone experiences sensory processing differences is crucial. These differences are unique to each child and variances are a part of normal human development. Sensory Processing differences become challenges when they interfere with your child’s ability to fully engage in daily activities.

When dysregulation makes life challenging, I can help.

Dysregulation can occur when a child's brain and body struggle to cope with sensory demands, resulting in over-responsiveness (sensitivity and avoidance) or under-responsiveness (not noticing some things and seeking out others). These differences can impact how a child interacts with the world around them, affecting social engagement, focus, attention, and everyday tasks like eating, dressing, and sleeping.
And when sensory differences make life a challenge, it not only affects your kiddo but everyone around them too.
Working collaboratively with you and your child, I will help you identify areas of sensory processing that impact daily functioning most. Then step-by-step we will work together to develop awareness and strategies that are right for your child.
